This individual will be responsible for developing and manage strategy to optimize performance across the Procurement department. This role will lead the standardization and transformation of sourcing on global scale by establishing a clear vendor path for growth and innovation, cost savings, new product introduction, custom products development, including spend analysis, contract reviews, pricing, tooling, supplier management, packaging, purchasing, international freight and demand planning.

Overall Project and time management: Plan tasks and deliverables accurately, prioritize tasks and adapt as needed based upon changing priorities Responsive to requests, accountable for actions Problem-solving: Prevent and solve issues, understand and mitigate problems, recognize cause and effect relationships between functions Cross-functional collaboration and communication Developing Staff (increasing competence and engagement) Customer focus: Understand and monitor the needs of internal and external customers of the Procurement functions SOURCING
Success: To position Company as the market leader with a world-class supplier base supporting sustainable production capacity and delivery of goods on time. Strategic Global Market Sourcing Development and Execution Create a vision for and execution of Global Strategic Sourcing Plan and direct all investigations and negotiations related to mergers, joint ventures, acquisition of business Due diligence on new retcons, supplier exclusivity and new business opportunities Position the Company as the market leader through collaboration with customers, suppliers, sales and other internal stakeholders Develop and execute best practices including direct pricing, define lead times, vendor production capacity, vendor agreements, consolidation & SLAs, supplier performance management, tooling, packaging, commodity planning, New Product Introduction (NPI) and Custom products to fulfill end-to-end global demand Engage suppliers and collaborate with Engineering to drive supplier innovation and design for manufacturability Tap into the capabilities and knowledge from the supplier community to facilitate externally sourced innovation Impact Assessment and Future Trends Collaborate with Finance leadership to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations to the general ledger Identify emerging trends and requirements for all future product needs to assure a world-class supplier base Functional excellence Implement standard processes, category management, engage low cost country suppliers, risk mitigation, supplier relationship management Ability to manage large, complex projects and break them down and execute into manageable pieces, develop functional processes, and deliver them in a successful and timely manner Prepare, present, and influence senior leaders on current and future sourcing imperatives Purchasing
Success: To development and implement Company to have world-class Purchasing Strategy, driving supplier innovation, delivering products on time and minimizing purchasing costs. Improve the suppliers' on-time delivery performance to enable inventory reductions throughout the supply chain Develop negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations with vendors on price, delivery, terms, etc. Ensure compliance with policies and programs in alignment with sourcing strategy Develop and execute a global market leading purchasing strategy including purchasing, production lead-times, OTIF for Pos status and supplier payment terms International Freight & Planning
Success: To development, implement and manage Company to have world-class International Freight and Planning Strategy, in order to provide visibility of goods in transit and guarantee that products are available in all warehouses and delivered on time. Serve as a liaison between the specialized departments within and outside the Supply Chain organization, working cross-functionally and cross-regionally to develop strategic planning with a holistic approach to future business needs Lead decision making on product de-listing, product life cycle integration into catalog, etc. Develop and execute a global strategy including international freight, Customs, Inventory levels, Slow movers, inventory mix by region, part number and bill of materials creation and strategy Qualifications Guidelines
Education/training/experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization English and Chinese/Mandarin 15+ years' of relevant work experience in global supply chain & procurement, sourcing, Quality Control with Asian vendors/suppliers, purchasing, planning and international freight Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions Confidence, presence, and credibility to command the respect of colleagues and senior stakeholders, especially within Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Services, Logistics, and Finance Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs Adaptable / Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances Knowledge of : 6 Sigma, Lean Experience, Quality Control, Vendor Management Inventory, Kaizens, Workouts, Process mapping, improved productivity Understanding Team value and has ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change Organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS-Project skills
