Job Description:
SUMMARY
Location: Residence Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove
Position Type: Non-Management
The starting pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.
As aHouseperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the
cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of
the hotel.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Job Requirements:
- Upkeep the public areas
- Assisting with Housekeeping as much as needed by providing basic
housekeeping duties (changing the sheets, changing and arranging
towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning,
and rearranging the room after guest check out)
- Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
- Recognize and report potential safety hazards (broken doors or
railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any
damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Maintaining shelf organization in the storerooms and replenishing
supplies as needed
- Cleaning furniture, elevators, glass, planters, light fixtures,
carpets, walls, and more in public areas such as the lobby, pool,
and public restrooms
- Delivering special request items such as cribs to guest rooms
Job Qualifications:
- Highly motivatedteam player with strong initiative and desire for
achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including
anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as
necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Readily available and approachablefor all guests while
providingexcellent guest service
The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of
this job, theemployee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk
for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to
10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The
number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is
variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and
other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific
number of work hours per week.
