KID FUNdamentals Therapy Center, Inc. is a pediatric occupational therapy clinic located in Garden Grove, CA. We are looking to hire a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA). Our clinic has been open for over 2.5 years and our mission is to provide the best and most comprehensive care in pediatric occupational therapy services. We are dedicated to providing children and their family quality care with individualized, personal attention to their needs. *We are seeking to hire a COTA to fill a position that will start at part-time (25-30 hours/week) that will go to full time (35-40 hours) as soon as the caseload is filled up. *We are 100% therapist owned and operated - owner has 15 years occupational therapy experience working with the pediatrics population in school districts and outpatient clinics.

*COTA Responsibilities: *

* Treat pediatric clients ages 0-14 years utilizing evidence-based practice techniques in-center or via teletherapy.
* Assist Occupational Therapist (OTR) in identifying children's skills, abilities and progress
* Prepare materials and plans for sessions done by self or occupational therapist
* Provide education and training to parents and caregivers
* Collaborate/consult with other outside professionals from other disciplines as needed (e.g. - SLPs, ABA/Behavioral Interventionists, PTs, pediatricians, psychologists, etc. that patients may see outside of our facility)
* Do proper documentation of services (we use an electronic medical record system - Fusion Web Clinic)
* This position is for a *part-time shift (25-30 hours/week) that will transition to a full-time shift (35-40 hours/week) *upon caseload becoming full.
* Must have availability between 9:00AM - 6:00PM, especially in the afternoons where we have the peak time appointments after school going into late afternoon/early evening.

*Qualifications: *

* NBCOT Certified
* Current California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) License
* Associate's Degree - Occupational Therapy Assistant
* 1-2 years minimum working as a COTA in pediatrics
* Proof of BLS CPR certification
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccine (series + booster)
* Pass background check (Live Scan)
* Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus (but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,960.00 - $54,040.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All parents/caregivers are required to wear masks while on premises. Optional for kids due to health conditions/sensory. Masks, gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer, and face shields are available for employees. Surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
