We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. What we do:
The Digital Tools Engineer will be responsible for complex new product development processes that involve mechanical, electronics, and software. This role will develop processes and procedures, so digital tools are used in the most efficient manner. The role will ensure all engineering systems are modern, integrated, and produce a digital thread of the development of the product. This role works closely with Engineering and R&D team members to align the tools with the overall vision and with IT and external vendors to get these tools implemented and our teams trained.
What you can do:


  • Develop use cases to integrate different digital tools to support business processes and oversee the development and implementation of such integrations by vendors
  • Design nimble and efficient processes to meet the needs of the business and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for documenting business processes and training the team in using digital tools effectively and adhering to the processes
  • Collaborate with the ER&D team members to understand their needs and propose the best solutions that meet the current and future business needs and fit our vision and strategy
  • Evaluate current business processes and constantly improve them for better efficiency by utilizing the features of the tools
  • Help implement, manage, and maintain the selected digital tools
  • Provide day-to-day support to end-users by responding to technical support requests while using a high degree of independent discretion
  • Onboard new users by creating their user account with appropriate permissions
  • Audit the tools for license usage and project future license needs
  • May require 10% domestic and international travel

    What you can contribute:

    • Bachelor s degree in mechanical, aerospace, aeronautical or equivalent field
    • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing digital tools (a combination of education and experience will be considered
    • Experience with CAD systems (e.g.: CATIA, NX, etc.), PLM systems (e.g.: 3DExperience, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
    • Knowledge of Requirement management tools like IBM DOORS, Jama, and MBSE tools such as IBM Rhapsody
    • Good understanding of new product development (NPD) processes & systems
    • Experience with aircraft development programs
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
    • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

      You may also be able to contribute:

      • Master s degree in a related engineering field
      • Familiarity with regulated environments and export control laws
