Job SummaryNetApp is seeking a Technical Hardware and
Sustainability Product Manager to join our product management team.
The ideal candidate has experience managing and influencing
hardware designs in large enterprise companies, working
collaboratively with global R&D teams.This role reports to the
Senior Director of Product Management and involves close
collaboration with Product leadership, Engineering, Procurement,
Sustainability, and Support teams to define compelling product
strategies in our fastest-growing segments. Additionally, we are
looking for a strategic and passionate Sustainability Product
Manager to lead ESG initiatives, develop sustainability strategies,
and ensure compliance with industry standards.NetApp's GHG
reduction targets are validated by the Science Based Targets
initiative (SBTi). If you are committed to positive change,

an excellent opportunity.Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate product/market requirements through
research, customer visits, advisory councils, industry events, and
analyst relationships.
- Collaborate with R&D to translate sustainability market
requirements into innovative technologies and support fast delivery
and revenue acceleration.
- Define product vision, strategy, and lifecycle plans, including
roadmaps and evolution.
- Provide business insights via analytics and market research in
collaboration with Product and Procurement teams.
- Translate system functionality and sustainability requirements
into business language.
- Gain experience in global sustainability strategies and provide
insights to corporate leaders.
- Develop and execute sustainability programs to reduce carbon
footprint, waste, and resource consumption.
- Understand hardware components' impact on power consumption and
improve sustainability reporting.
- Monitor, measure, and report sustainability metrics aligned
with industry standards (e.g., ESG, GRI, CDP, UN SDGs).
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainable
practices into business processes.
- Assess and mitigate environmental impacts across operations and
supply chain.
- Engage employees, suppliers, and stakeholders on sustainability
policies and practices.
- Stay updated on sustainability trends, innovations, and legal
requirements.
- Build partnerships with external organizations to enhance
sustainability initiatives.Job RequirementsTechnical & Industry
Skills:
- Minimum 3+ years in product management, with experience in
hardware products.
- Knowledge of server, networking, storage technologies, and
related data center components.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery architectures for
SAN/NAS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and
cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- Understanding of sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting, and
life cycle assessments.
- Basic knowledge of sustainable supply chains, circular economy,
and renewable energy strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Jira.
- Knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, DPU, PCIe, NVMe, SSDs.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA
preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental certifications (ISO 14001, B
Corp, LEED, GRI, Energy Star).
- 3+ years in sustainability management or CSR.Travel
requirements: 15% to 25% travel expected.EducationNetApp supports a
