Full-Time Exempt PositionU.S. Citizenship Required for this PositionReq # 179 Software Engineer BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:Programming embedded Linux systems and GUI using C/C++Develop device drivers: RS232, SPI, I2C, Ethernet PHY, flash memoryDevelop and enhance networking protocol stacks: TCP/IP, SNMP, NTP, SSHProgramming control and maintenance applications using C/C++Maintain and enhance time and frequency product familyInvolved in system firmware quality verification Involved in product specifications, design software specification, and support of whole products lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and deploymentJOB REQUIREMENTS The applicant MUST have the following qualifications:BSCE/BSEE or higher requiredU.S. Citizenship requiredMinimum of 4 years in developing firmware for embedded systems using C and C++ Knowledge of 64/32/16 bits CPU or microcontrollers hardware architecture3 or more years of experience in Real time embedded Linux, developing device tree2 or more years of experience in device driver development: SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, EEPROMGood knowledge of Software system architecture, structured software development environmentsKnow how to use/setup/configure common Electronic Test Equipment: Oscilloscope, EEPROM programmer, etc.Excellent troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivatedAbility to work on projects alone or as part of a teamAdditional Desirable Experience:Knowledge of Visual Studio C++/C#Linux bash scripting experienceKnowledge of Scripting Languages: Python, Perl, etc.1553 protocolKnowledge of GPS receivers Salary Range: $100,000/year to $150,000/yr DOE E-Verify As a Federal Contractor, FEI-Zyfer is required to participate in the E-Verify Program to confirm eligibility to work in the United States.
