$33.50/hour Schedule/Shift : Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8AM-430PM
Location: Ventura, CA Responsibilities: Coordinate the recruitment,
onboarding, training, and placement of hospice volunteers. Match
volunteers to appropriate opportunities based on patient/family
needs, volunteer skills, and availability. Provide ongoing support,
supervision, and recognition to volunteers. Maintain accurate
volunteer records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory
requirements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to
identify volunteer service needs. Organize and lead volunteer
meetings, trainings, and appreciation events. Monitor the
effectiveness and satisfaction of the volunteer program and
implement improvements as needed. Ensure volunteers understand and
align with the hospice philosophy and Mission Hospice’s values.
Communicate regularly with the Volunteer Resources Manager to align
goals and maintain consistent program quality across the
organization. Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience
in a healthcare setting (preferred). Minimum of two (2) years of
experience in volunteer coordination, management, or supervision
(preferred). Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with
the ability to motivate and support a diverse team of volunteers.
Understanding of and alignment with the hospice philosophy. Ability
to work independently and collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in maintaining documentation
and using basic computer systems. Compassionate, dependable, and
committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
