Job Description Staff Today is seeking a local contract Certified Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Torrance, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Surgical Technician to work at a facility in Torrance, California. These are registry positions with our company. Pay Rate: $41.90 / hour Shifts Available: - 36 hrs per week - 12 hours - 8 weeks only - Days, nights, weekends and holidays Nursing Specialty: - Operating Room Qualifications: - Ensure that profiles are submitted for STs who are fully committed to working an 8-week assignment. - Must work every other weekend and holidays. Required certifications include active Certification as Surgical Technician, AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date. Assignment Information: Is currently in need of highly skilled Surgical Technicians (STS) with a minimum of two (2) recent years of acute care setting experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with diverse population as a ST. STs are responsible for preparing the operating room, setting up sterile fields with instruments, anticipating surgeon needs during complex cases, passing instruments, handling specimens, performing counts, assisting with patient care (pre/post-op), and maintaining strict sterility for elective, urgent, and emergent patients.
