Occupational Therapist Location: Newport Beach, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,760 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Occupational Therapist II Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Experience: Eighteen (18) months experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute healthcare system environment. License: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California. Certifications: Current BLS Certification. Must-Have: Experience with a range of diagnoses including general medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary. Description: Occupational Therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory-perceptual, and other aspects of performance in various contexts and environments. The Occupational Therapist II assesses individual patients' Occupational Therapy needs. Establishes and implements an occupation-based treatment program and goals, using therapeutic activities to develop, regain, or improve skills for daily living. Reviews physician referrals for occupational therapy services. Utilizes patient records relative to medical history. Administers evidence-based exams and screening tests to identify impairments, functional limitations, and level of performance. Performs evaluation procedures to determine patients' performance capacities and deficits. Analyzes evaluation test results to determine a plan of care. Includes appropriate interventions, goals, expected intensity, duration of therapy, and recommendations for discharge. Provides education to patients and caregivers regarding the purpose of activities, use of equipment, and home exercises. Performs regular re-examinations, measures outcomes, and seeks feedback from patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary medical teams. Develops and modifies treatment programs to meet the changing needs of patients. Oversees the clinical work of Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides. Manages multiple patients simultaneously. Provides services and required documentation accurately and timely. Participates in continuing education and incorporates new information into practice. Assists in educating and orienting new staff. Acts as a fieldwork educator for students and interns. Participates as an instructor in established classes or programs. Participates in educational events within the community. Attends clinical education courses meeting the guidelines of the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
