Job Description:

*Summary: *Provides higher-level assistance to Member Service Representatives in the areas of service, sales, and operations. Acts as a staff mentor regarding member relations, accuracy, efficiency, and career development. Keeps abreast of regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures and ensures that branch staff is made aware of changes that affect their job responsibilities. Assists the branch in meeting or exceeding sales, service, and operational goals as assigned. "To embody the Credit Union's core values of Professionalism, Integrity, and Engagement."

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Exercises prudent care when making decisions to benefit members and protect the Credit Union from loss.
* Performs as a leader who interacts with staff and members to ensure fair and unbiased treatment.
* Maintains open and frequent communication with senior management involving issues pertinent to staff, members, and the Credit Union.
* Resolves difficult member issues and exercises authority to make appropriate exceptions to policy and procedures.
* Trains staff in operational processes and product knowledge when needed.
* Responsible for performing, with assistance from staff, branch audits in a timely and accurate manner.
* Opens and processes all transactions relating to new and existing deposit accounts.

* Inputs loan applications, follow up on loan decisions, fulfills stipulations and funds loans.

* Inputs member transaction requests for account data changes, deposits, cash withdrawals, transfers, check withdrawals, loan payments, travelers' checks, savings bonds, and money orders.

* Meets or exceeds assigned performance standards and goals pertaining to member utilization of credit union products and services.
* Participates in business development efforts to create branch awareness and obtain new business within designated community
* Assists Branch Manager in the development of subordinate's annual performance appraisals.

*SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

* Stays informed of credit union products, services, procedures, new developments, and knowledge of the competition and their products.

* Trains staff in operational processes and product knowledge when needed.
* Organizes time and resources to meet deadlines and accomplish all work assignments.
* Works to increase knowledge in sales and service, technical skills, and professional development through available internal and external resources.

* Provides supervision to staff at other branches when needed.

*QUALIFICATIONS: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. *Education/Experience: * Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Language Ability: * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. *Must be fluent (able to speak, read and write) in Vietnamese or Spanish.*
*Math Ability: * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
*Reasoning Ability: *Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
*Computer Skills: * MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint. Knowledge of Symitar preferred.
*Certificates and Licenses: * Required to obtain Notary Public Commission.
*Supervisory Responsibilities: * Directly supervises employees. Carries supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

* Primarily indoor office work with quiet to a moderate noise level.
* Occasional work outside the office.
* Local travel between branches.
* Occasional evening and weekend schedules are required.

*Salary Range* is $65,000 to $70,000
