Job Title Manufacturing Engineer Requisition # PCC-US.****** Job Type Full-time Shift Type First Shift (Day) Location FASTENERS - Air Industries - CA - Garden Grove, CA 92841 US (Primary) Job Description POSITION TITLE: MAINTENANCE ENGINEER EMPLOYEE TYPE: FULL TIME SALARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, assists with planning and coordinating of long and short term maintenance activities and budgets including PMs. Assist Facilities Manager in directing, coordinating, and implementing mechanical maintenance and repair to machines. Requires a high level of judgment, analytic ability and creativity, such as investigating moderately complex problems or situations, analyzing information and recommending solutions. 1. Plans short and long term maintenance activities and budgets including daily, weekly, and monthly PMs. Assists with development and implementation of maintenance department long term goals and strategies. 2. Directs daily scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance activities throughout the plant based on direction from the Facilities Manager. 3. Works closely with production operations to coordinate maintenance issues. 4. Assist with development and tracking of maintenance department metrics. 5. Assists Facilities Manager in: a. Major projects from conception through- completion for new construction, including utility installations, planning/budgeting, community interface, contractor selections and construction supervision. b. Minor projects which includes redesigning existing process to improve and/ or minimize downtime. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 1. High school or equivalent. 2. Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment. 3. Balances figures- basic math, basic algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. 4. Blueprint reading REQUIRED SKILLS: 1. Language: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to verbally communicate effectively. 2. Mathematical: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. 3. Reasoning Ability: ability to apply common send understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. 4. Ability to read & interpret blue prints. 5. Ability to read & interpret router instructions & specifications. 6. Properly use calipers, micrometers, and other gauge measuring tools. 7. Basic knowledge of shop math.
